Why sellers look for a PayPal alternative

PayPal is a familiar button, but many Shopify sellers run into the same problems:

  • Funds on hold. PayPal can hold money from new sellers or after a jump in sales, often until delivery is confirmed or for a set period.
  • Limited accounts. A review can limit what you can do with your balance until you answer it.
  • Higher cost per order. PayPal Checkout is 3.49% + 49¢ in the US, plus 1.5% for buyers abroad.
  • A button, not a checkout. Shoppers who want to pay by card still need a card checkout.

If PayPal is holding your funds today

  1. Answer PayPal's request in your account with exactly what it asks for: tracking, proof of delivery, invoices.
  2. Upload tracking for every open order. Confirmed delivery is often what releases held payments.
  3. Add a card checkout that doesn't depend on PayPal, so new orders keep coming in while the review runs.

How to switch in 15 minutes

  1. Open a Whop account. A personal account is enough: your details, a bank account and your ID.
  2. Connect your Shopify store and your Whop account to Chekvo.
  3. Preview your checkout for free with your real products, shipping and discount codes.
  4. Go live. Keep PayPal as a second option if you want, with cards as the main way to pay.

What else you get

  • One-click upsells after payment and order bumps at checkout.
  • Cart recovery by email on every plan, and by WhatsApp from the Growth plan.
  • Cash on delivery where it's common, with no card processor involved.
